I wish I could take credit for this build :smokin:
530 KTM Cafe Custom
Day 1
What started life as a530 Motocross bike was transformed into a no frills mid way custom somewhere between a café racer, a super single and a motocross bike. We always anticipated taking this project further and now that time has come. Welcome to flavor country my friends, welcome to the modern day café racer.
Day 2
Check out this video as Roland walks around this work in progress while talking about the build!
Day 10
Completed KTM 530 Cafe Racer less paint. Alpine Stars was cool enough to invite us out on track day. We had the chance to rip it up on this KTM at the streets of Willow. The bike is super fun to ride, it's light, agile, torquey and stylish. It does everything you want a good road bike to do….it just does it better.

It's a cool looking bike but I don't think the wheels suit it at all. Looks much better in this video with the bare alloy rims:
YouTube - Roland Sands KTM 530 SMR
I like the Alpina rims, add a bit of colour to the bare metal. But in the interest of completeness...
I've edited my original post and added the video Lewis87 spied

I'd love to do a winter project but need a few things first like a donor bike, dispensable cash, garage, mechanical knowledge and a load of spare time
...as soon as I've got all these I'll be on it

Oooh, wouldn't mind one of them - shades of one of the bikes I most enjoyed owning - only 100 times tastier :smokin:

Interesting.
I like how he keeps the look of the cafe racer tank, but incorporates airflow for the rads.

I don't like it.
Jesse Rookes stuff looks better to me.

Trust you
V's
...it is really nice but just a bit too blinging and polished for my tastes. Horses for courses and all that.

Love the way the number plate has been cable tied to the subframe, very retro...
The whole thing looks a bit "garden shed build"
